TIFFANY NORK. 8 Mar 2009
Bits & Pieces About Tiffany:
From: Washington Crossing, PA but she LOVES San Fran!
Occupation: Massage Therapist & Lithe Method Master Instructor. Tif owns On The Spot Wellness.
Enjoys: The outdoors, running, hiking, snowboarding, concerts, the beach, vanilla soy lattes, no shower happy hour down the shore and traveling ANYWHERE.
How'd She land a spot on the Lithe team?: Tif was taking classes in 2005 and she started teaching in 2006. She is super-strong, quick-paced and preferred by the strongest and most seasoned lithers. She can also slow it down and turn you to mush with her Lithe melt classes.
I chose Tif because she is so talented and cardiovascularly strong due to her successful lacrosse and field hockey past. Tif really "gets" it, she has an innate and learned knowledge of the body, human anatomy and how the body moves. She is Pilates trained, practices yoga and can spot a tight psoas or muscle/connective tissue imbalance just by looking at you. She really has an amazing work ethic (she never misses a day and she even showed up to instructor training with one lung functioning).
I think that Tif is a great role model for women b/c she has the big butt, no boobs, athletic, Kate Hudson type body and she embraces it. Tif has a "cool" outer shell, but once you get to know her you realize what a gem she is; she is very caring, sassy (and a little sappy), non-judgmental and she puts every ounce of herself into her classes and her work.
What you wouldn't know by just looking at her: She is left-handed, vegan and very health conscious, She graduated from Providence College with a degree in psychology, she ran a marathon through the woods in Alaska, She has a pit-bull named Novie who likes to run more than her, has a weakness for dark chocolate, she is newly engaged to Chris and set a date for 2010, she has two brothers and she takes her classes very seriously...She gets very upset when people don't show up to class!
