ELIZABETH STURGIS. 11 Mar 2009
I've saved the best for last! If you haven't heard, our Elizabeth will be moving down south in August : ( If you haven't had the opportunity to take some of her body-altering classes, take em' while you can! Elizabeth, you will really be missed and impossible to replace. May all your dreams come true--you deserve nothing but the best!
Bits & Pieces About Elizabeth:
From: Minnesota but she LOVES London (she hopes to live there someday)!
Enjoys: Running, dancing & choreographing, music, the outdoors and pretty much any outdoor activity, traveling, spending time with friends, playing with her new nephew and niece, people who make her laugh to tears, going to Storehouse Church on Sundays (Yes, it's true!), orchids, smoothies, naps and dessert.
"Other" job: Professional Dancer, Stott Pilates instructor
How did she land a spot on the Lithe Method Team? Elizabeth was my first employee back in 2005. I had a tiny little studio with 9 mats in Northern Liberties. I was teaching STOTT Pilates back then and I'm really picky, so I wouldn't hire just any "Pilates" instructor. Lithe grew quickly and she was literally an answer to my prayers! I do believe that it was fate. I can honestly say that I couldn't have grown this business the way that I have without Elizabeth.
What you wouldn't know by just looking at her: She has a killer sense of style that no one ever gets to see at the studio, she's been a Christian since 2000, she plans to use dance to reach and connect with people who have suffered civil wars throughout Africa, she has studied in London and has traveled to Europe, Honduras and Tunisia, Africa. She has awesome taste in music, killer legs, She runs about 12 miles a day, She has taught more than 3,500+ Lithe beginners over 4 years (through our Immersion Program), Oh...And whenever I'm totally pooped, she has always been there to cover for me.

Wow! Good luck Elizabeth!
You certainly will be missed. Your instruction in the Immersion program was thorough and you really do have a knack for ensuring proper form without making a newbie feel overwhelmed. I can see all the qualities that Lauren has listed about you, in just the short time that I have taken your classes. Thanks for having a passion for what you do and sharing it with others.
I better skip out of work early to get to a Rare Form class with you while I can. Lithe and especially your class has made me LIKE to stretch, good thing since I need it. :)
